A Night at the Races
Annual fundraiser to help offset Orland Park Thrift Store operations
St. Anne Conference in Hazel Crest is hosting their 13th annual fundraiser, "A Night at the Races," on Saturday, October 10 at Balmoral Park, 26435 Dixie Highway in Crete, Illinois. Buffet served from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. and includes a salad bar, carving station, chef manned pasta station and delicious desserts to satisfy all tastes; making it a winning evening for all.
Cost is just $35 per person ($10 for children 6-10 years of age) and includes parking, admission, program, buffet dinner, non-alcoholic drinks, tax & tip.
Spearheaded by St. Anne Conference Member Jim Austing, "A Night at the Races" started in August 2003 as a fundraiser for the Midlothian Thrift Store (re-opened in Orland Park in 2015) and participating conferences. Since that first year, more than $25,000 has been raised.
"Coordinating this event has been one of the best decisions I've ever made because this is one of the most fun projects I have ever undertaken in my whole life," said Austing.
