It is an international society of charity comprised of every ethnic group, age group and cultural background. They make no distinction in those being served regardless of their individual backgrounds, because Vincentians see the face of Christ in those they serve.
Every day, Society volunteers bring emergency food, assist with medical or prescription costs, rent assistance to prevent eviction and help to restore utilities.

St. Gilbert Fundraiser
Vintage Vogue luncheon raises $20,000
More than 250 guests gathered on May 2 for Vintage Vogue, a fundraiser for the St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Gilbert Church in Grayslake. The festive luncheon featured 35 volunteers modeling a selection of 80 fashions from the early 1900's from the private collection of Grayslake resident Gloria Venzon.
Highlights included the original LBD--little black dress--a black Chanel dress from the 1920's, and six vintage wedding dresses representing iconic styles from the last century. The fundraiser also featured a silent auction with donated items from Lake County residents and local businesses. The event raised over $20,000 that will benefit those in need in the Grayslake area.
